J is for June.

Banana bread with macadamia nuts. Food typography for my ATE 2020 recipe calendar.

INGREDIENTS

Butter 125g
Brown Sugar 1 cup
Vanilla Essence 1 teaspoon
Eggs 2 large
Cake Flour 2 cups
Baking Powder 1 teaspoon
Bananas 4 ripe
Macadamia Nuts 100g

METHOD

Beat butter, sugar and vanilla essence until light. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each. Sift in flour and baking powder, and fold into mixture. Mash the bananas and add to the mixture together with the roughly chopped macadamia nuts and mix in well. Place into two lined loaf tins, place a few sliced bananas and chopped macadamia nuts on top and genrously sprinkle with brown sugar.

Bake at 180°C for 45 minutes.
