Florentines

Almond and cranberry florentines.

A quick, easy and tasty recipe that uses only five ingredients and takes only a few minutes to mix together and bake.

INGREDIENTS

Cornflakes 100g
Condensed Milk 200g
MONTAGU SNACKS Flaked Almonds 100g
MONTAGU SNACKS Dried Cranberries 100g
Milk Baking Chocolate 150g

METHOD

Place the flaked almonds, cranberries, cornflakes and condensed milk in a bowl and mix well until all the ingredients are evenly coated with the condensed milk, being gentle so that you don’t break up the cornflakes.

Place spoonfuls in a silicon muffin tray, or on a baking tray lined with baking paper. The mixture should yield approximately 18-24 florentines depending on the size.

Bake at 180˚C for 10 minutes

Remove from the oven and allow to cool in the muffin tray, or on the baking tray, for about 5 minutes before gently removing them and placing them on a cooling tray to cool completely.

Melt the chocolate and pour into a shallow dish. Dip the bottoms of the florentines into the chocolate then place chocolate side down on a sheet of baking paper and allow to set.

Enjoy!
