Almond Puff Pastry Bites
Using only 4 ingredients these almond puff pastry bites are quick and easy to make. They’re great if you’d like to spoil Mom with a homemade Mother’s Day treat and aren’t confident in the kitchen, or have little ones that would like to get involved.
INGREDIENTS
Puff Pastry 400g
Castor Sugar 30g
Egg 1
MONTAGU SNACKS Flaked Almonds 50g
METHOD
Unroll the puff pastry on a lightly floured surface and cut out the letters, or flower shapes, with a knife or cookie cutter. Place on a baking tray lined with baking paper.
Lightly whisk the egg and brush onto the top surface of the cut pastry, then sprinkle with flaked almonds and castor sugar.
Bake at 190˚C for 15 minutes.
Remove from the oven and allow to cool before dusting a little more castor sugar over the top. Perfect with a cup of tea.
